Do they come with an Off button?

31 October 2011 7 Comments

It’s been a while since I had a kitten.

Even Onyx didn’t count, as she was over a year old when I got her.

So that’s… nearly seventeen years since Pookie was a kitten.

Do they come with off buttons?

I mean, so far this morning, Pippa has climbed my curtains, climbed my curtains, climbed my curtains, and climbed my curtains. Then she took a break and climbed my curtains, just for variety.

She’s also killed every piece of paper in the apartment, some of them twice, built sand castles in her litter box (she likes to play in there), and climbed my curtains.

She’s doing half laps around the living room, trying to see how far she can get without touching the ground (and while, presumably, hunting for more paper to kill).

But mostly she is climbing the curtains.

I’m exhausted just watching her, and she’s only been up and active for thirty minutes.

Oh. Look. She’s climbing my curtains.

ETA: Simon’s Cat “Double Trouble,” which is exactly what I’m going through:

You have all kinds of stuff from me in your spam - probably.  I tried to send you a link and your filter said I was spamming.  So I tried to send a message to tell you to look in your spam and it kept taking the half written messages and telling me I was spamming.  I lost the battle of wills, so all the crap is from me.  sorry grin

My filter isn’t very smart. Sorry about that.

Someone should have showed me this video before I got Pippa.

Whoops—my comments don’t like me, either. I’ll add the video to the main post.

Thanks, Barb!

AWWW.  I miss having a kitten in the house.  Mine are all grown and to dignified to do things like play in the litter box or climb curtains.  Moochie does try to sit in my lap but only when I have something there already..like my laptop or a book.

My older cat is called Count Metolius because he used to climb the curtains endlessly (Metolius makes rock climbing equipment). Fortunately he grew out of it, literally. There’s no way the fabric could hold him now.

So sorry to hear about Pookie. I lost my Ivy in Sept.  I found her 12 years ago as a 4 week old kitten. She was a terror, I have not had curtains or Christmas trees for 11 years. Realized I don’t miss them, I do miss her!

OK so for a name, you have Onxy, so how about Mica.

Sarah says 3 November 2011

I like Mica a lot. Much better than Pippa!

Hilarious!
If I can stop laughing long enough…I would probably say something completely unhelpful, like “No, it never stops.  Have the Baker Blanket people make you some curtains…”
wink
